Infiniti Emerg-E

Nowadays, we suggest Infiniti Emerg-E For you, This Content is Similar With 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class . You can use These picture for backgrounds on Gadget with Best Quality.

Infiniti Emerg-E
Infiniti's booth candy for the 2012 Geneva auto show is a 402-hp, range-extended electric supercar concept called the Emerg-E. Despite its prominence in the U.S., the Infiniti brand only recently launched in Europe, in 2008, and most potential buyers remain ignorant of its existence.

 Infiniti Emerg-E

Infiniti Emerg-E

An eye-popping, mid-engined hybrid like the Emerg-E may help change that. Actually, this car is more than just booth candy. Infiniti has clear intentions to take the Emerg-E past the concept stage and into prototype form in short order. The car under the show lights is static, but two real runners will be built for hard test-track use by engineers and even journalists come this summer. Infiniti's head of advanced product, Francois Bancon, tells us it could very well be turned into a production halo car for the brand by 2016.

The Emerg-E is already the result of some 18 months of engineering effort, so we can take its performance figures pretty seriously -- and they're pretty serious. Infiniti is claiming a 0-to-60 mph time of 4.0 seconds, and its pair of electric motors has to move only 3550 pounds, thanks in part to a carbon-fiber skin. Full EV range is pegged at 30 miles, drawing out to 300 miles when its 1.2-liter three-cylinder range-extending engine is running. The Emerg-E is a genuinely global effort. Though conceived and strategized in Japan, it was sketched at Infiniti's San Diego, California, studio by designer Randy Rodriguez. Final design work was done at Nissan's European studio in central London.

The technical authorship and development also comes out of the U.K. Nissan's European tech center is near Bedford, in central England, and the car is part of the British government's Technology Strategy Board initiative to hasten the arrival of low-carbon vehicles. As such, it uses many U.K. suppliers, including an engine and basic chassis from Lotus.

The rear wheels only are driven, explains Nissan Europe engineering chief Jerry Hardcastle, each one having its own 201-hp motor. The motors come from EVO Electric, a British firm that supplied them for an EV with onboard generation that just completed the Dakar Rally. In the Emerg-E, each motor drives through a single-speed transmission from Britain's globally dominant motorsport transmission specialist Xtrac. This arrangement creates effectively an open differential and reduces driveline friction. The battery is a 14.8-kW-hr unit, mounted behind the occupants along with the power electronics. Also back there is the 47 horsepower range extender. This is something Lotus has been working on for a while: a tiny and simple three-cylinder unit. It has been optimized to run between 1500 and 4000 rpm, sparing the need for variable camshafts and the like.

Top speed is 130 mph. Limiting it to that is bad for bragging rights, but otherwise good for the car's operation, enabling the little range extender to more or less keep up with the power required. (If the top speed were where the e-motors allowed it to be, then at steady high speed the battery would be replenished too slowly.) A comparatively low top speed also means the Emerg-E doesn't need the aggressive aero or cooling of a car designed to run at a 200-odd mph, nor big, heavy brakes. So it's sleeker-looking, probably handles better, and likely is more appropriate for real-world use. The only variable aero is a rear spoiler that deploys at 60 mph. To keep the weight off, the body is carbon - by Lola Composites - and the chassis structure extruded aluminum. That chassis happens to be derived mostly from a Lotus Evora, at least for the prototypes. That gives you a good clue as to the car's overall size.

Nissan's chief creative officer, Shiro Nakamura, was adamant that the Emerg-E's visual language should fit Infiniti's recent run of concepts, because he wants to prove the brand's design cues can work on many different types of vehicles. So we see Infiniti's familiar grille shape -- functional even though this is an EV, because the range extender and motors are liquid cooled. The exaggerated bone line drawn out of the surface of the body is another repeating cue. The side window graphic is also becoming an Infiniti property -- the reverse kink in its rear edge especially. That's even visible on a JX crossover. Nakamura is keen that his car is less brutal than most mid-engined machines. He says the air intake over the rear wheels calls to mind the neckline of a kimono.

Inside, the cockpit uses many of the tropes of EV concepts: blue pulsing ambient lights, graphic-heavy screen-based displays. The driver can call up info about range and environmental performance, or track maps, lap times, and instantaneous g readings. Leaf meets GT-R. A steely mesh floor makes it feel airy and fresh, while the roof is translucent and embedded with photovoltaic solar cells. As for Infiniti as a whole, the brand is busy expanding its range downward, with a Leaf spin-off (to be shown as a concept at the New York show in April, and a production car in 2014), and in late 2013 a new G, including a four-cylinder. In 2015, the plan calls for a compact car based on the Etherea concept design sitting on Mercedes' new front-drive architecture, thanks to the recent tie-up between Daimler and Renault/Nissan.

After all that, the space exists to do an Infiniti flagship. "We have to demonstrate that we exist," says Bancon. Will it be something like the Emerg-E? "We will take the decision two years from now. It could be this car. Or it could be a GT-R derivative. It could be one of two other ideas." We jump at the suggestion of a GT-R derivative, but he sounds a note of caution. "We're trying to find a way to use GT-R technology in Infinitis. But you change one thing, just one small thing, on the GT-R and [you find] it doesn't work at all." Besides, he says Infiniti's brand values are about sustainability with performance. That was the jumping-off point for this car. "It attracts attention not from noise but from silence."

2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class

Right now, i advise 2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class For you, This Post is Related With Lamborghini Aventador J . You should use These image for backgrounds on personal computer with Best Quality.

2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class
The Mercedes-Benz A-Class has been around for quite some time now, serving as the brand's most compact and affordable people-hauling workhorse in markets outside the U.S. Now, the brand has a good feeling that Americans are ready to accept the all-new Mercedes A-Class, which is expected to battle premium offerings including the new Audi A3 and BMW 1 Series.

2013 Mercedes-Benz A-Class

The car is making its world debut in production trim at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, but we first learned of the new A-Class at last year's New York and Shanghai shows, where Benz showed it in concept form. Mercedes-Benz has teased us ever since, stating that the A-Class would be completely new, stylish, and packed with safety and high-tech features normally found on more expensive models like the S-Class. The automaker's goal, especially in America, is to hook a new, younger set of Mercedes-Benz loyalists.

Fans of the A-Class concept's styling should be more than pleased with the production version. The side profile still features the prominent character line that starts at the bottom of the front door and dramatically darts upward at the rear door. The front fascia features Benz's now familiar two-bar grille and LED daytime running lamps, while there's a boxier look and a standard roof spoiler (it helps the hatch achieve a slippery, class-leading drag coefficient of just 0.26) at the rear. Opting for the AMG Sport trim nets 18-inch wheels, aggressively styled bumpers, red-painted accent pieces, and what the automaker calls a diamond-look front grille mesh. Speaking of trim levels, the Euro-spec A-Class offers three: Urban, Style, and the aforementioned AMG Sport, though there's no word if the same strategy will be used in America.

Europeans will also get to choose from a wide range of powertrain options. Three gas-powered four-cylinder engines with displacements ranging from 1.6 to 2.0 liters will feature direct injection and turbocharging and will output 115 hp (A180), 156 hp (A200), and 211 hp (A250). The 1.6-liter mill introduces the company's new Camtronic system, which, according to Benz, increases fuel efficiency as "adjusting the valve lift on the intake side restricts the amount of fresh mixture used in the partial load range."

Next up are three turbocharged four-cylinder diesels: the A180 CDI, rated at 109 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque; the A200 CDI, with 136 hp and 221 lb-ft; and the A220, rated at 170 hp and 258 lb-ft. All gas and diesel engines will come with ECO start/stop technology and will be mated to a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. While powertrain choices for America haven't been confirmed, we expect the new gas-powered 201-hp 1.8-liter turbo-four -- recently introduced in the C250 -- to serve as the base engine.

Mercedes engineers also made sure the A-Class would be an engaging drive by lowering the center of gravity and revising the four-wheel independent suspension. A sports suspension and Direct-Steer system are optional, while the AMG Sport is expected to kick up the fun factor thanks to an AMG-developed front axle and suspension.

The sport theme continues inside the five-passenger hatch, where contrasting color schemes and metallic accents -- including air vents similar to the SLS AMG gullwing -- dominate. Highlighting the tech goodies is an optional app for the infotainment system that allows full iPhone functionality. Finally, the long list of standard safety tech includes Collision Prevention Assist, Attention Assist, brake hold function, Hill-start Assist, and the brand's Pre-Safe system, which prepares the vehicle for an impending crash. Optional safety nannies include Distronic Plus and Adaptive Highbeam Assist. On paper, it appears Mercedes-Benz has a strong contender in America's burgeoning premium compact segment. How long will we have to wait for it? The latest news out of Geneva is that the A-Class won't land here until calendar year 2014. Of course, pricing will be a huge factor, and we should get a good idea of where the A-Class will slot once it hits European showrooms this summer.

Lamborghini Aventador J

Right now, i propose Lamborghini Aventador J For you, This Post is Similar With Volkswagen Up . You need to use These picture for backgrounds on computer system with high quality resolution.

Lamborghini Aventador J
The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 is a stunningly fierce machine. It packs a screaming 12-cylinder engine and is wrapped in distinct styling that oozes testosterone. But that hasn't stopped the designers in Sant'Agata Bolognese from creating an even more dramatic vision of their newest supercar, called the Aventador J concept. The world will get its first look at the supercar at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

 Lamborghini Aventador J

 Lamborghini Aventador J

Lamborghini Aventador J

To create the striking Aventador J, Lamborghini removed the roof and windshield from an Aventador coupe. Not surprisingly, its styling closely resembles the Aventador , though the J's highest points are the roll hoops behind each seat, and the rearview mirror that sits atop a pole protruding from the dashboard. The doors still open upward, but have only a tiny sliver of glass instead of the Aventador's power windows. Out back, the Aventador J features a race-inspired carbon-fiber wing supported by two curved mounts. Lamborghini has shown a car in this vein before -- the Concept S appeared at the 2005 Geneva Motor Show. Based on the Gallardo coupe, the Concept S also was a speedster design; it essentially teased the production Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder that made its debut in 2006. The Aventador J takes the same basic stripped-out approach as the S, and looks more like a formula racer than a series production car.

To further improve performance, the Aventador J's front and rear bumpers get unique carbon-fiber flics to add aerodynamic downforce, and black mesh at the rear helps cool the giant engine. The carbon-fiber rear diffuser features four hexagonal exhaust tips. The Aventador J rides on new aluminum center-lock wheels measuring 20 inches in front and 21 inches rear with unique fan-shaped carbon-fiber inserts designed to help cool the brakes.

Because there are just two tiny wind deflectors in front of the seats and no roof, Lamborghini cautions that the driver and passenger must wear appropriate clothing -- which probably means a full-face helmet, as demonstrated in the press photos. The interior lacks a radio, navigation system, and climate-control system, so occupants can focus fully on the driving experience. Most of the Aventador J's cabin materials are made from Forged Composite, Lamborghini's patented process for building strong but light structures from carbon fiber. The seat inserts, for instance, use a special type of flexible carbon fabric. To accent the black components, a painted red stripe that matches the bodywork runs from the dashboard, along the center console, and up the bulkhead between the seats.

The J shares everything under its skin with the regular Aventador, including the 6.5-liter V-12 engine, which offers 700 hp and 509 lb-ft of torque. It's shielded by a unique X-shaped carbon-fiber cover that leaves much of the engine on display -- "a truly stunning sight," the company claims. We concur. Lamborghini's seven-speed ISR automated manual transmission, pushrod suspension, and all-wheel-drive system also carry over. There are no performance estimates for the Aventador J, but the company says it will eclipse 186 mph, plenty fast but shy of the hardtop's 217-mph maximum velocity. Undoubtedly the best part of this open-top Lamborghini is that the car's engine and exhaust note will be even more audible. The hardtop LP700-4 already sounds phenomenal as the V-12 shrieks toward its 8250-rpm power peak; a topless version will likely sound even more exhilarating. Though the Aventador J is said to be fully drivable, Lamborghini describes it as an "absolute one-off" design study. Yet while this speedster-inspired Aventador will remain a show car, we believe it foreshadows a production convertible model, because Lamborghini has in recent years offered a convertible version of nearly all its cars. The previous V-12-powered Murcielago spawned a roadster version, so it would make sense for Lamborghini's new 12-cylinder Aventador to follow suit. Here's hoping the production car looks as stunning as the concept.

Volkswagen Up

Today, i advocate Volkswagen Up For you, This Content is Related With Peugeot 208 GTi and XY . You can use This picture for backgrounds on computer system with HD.

Volkswagen Up
The first model is the Volkswagen Swiss Up!, which pays tribute to the Geneva show's homeland. The car wears Tornado Red paint, which is offset with Porcelain White mirrors and wheels in an attempt to mimic the design of Switzerland's flag.

The interior boasts brown Alcantara upholstery, while the dashboard is finished in white with red accent trim. There also are special holders for Victorinoxpocket knives in the back of the two front seats.

Continuing the Swiss theme is the Volkswagen Winter Up!, designed for drivers who want to hit the slopes. White paint covers most of the outside, with Malibu Blue accenting the bumpers, mirrors, and surrounding the greenhouse. Because this model is based on the rugged VW Cross Up! concept, it has special Anthracite coatings for the fenders, door sills, and skid plates. Atop the roof is rack that can accommodate either two snowboards or six skis. The seats receive a combination of white and blue upholstery to match the exterior. The Volkswagen X Up! is another off-road concept based on the Cross Up!, and apparently shows how "a small car conquers the world." A roof-mounted cargo box helps carry extra equipment, and also proves a mounting point for two additional headlights. Volkswagen also has fitted tow hooks, skid plates, and Anthracite coatings designed to protect the fenders and door sills. Finally, Volkswagen demonstrates a more practical concept with the Cargo Up! The only three-door model of this grouping, the Cargo Up! loses its rear seats in order to create a flat load floor. A Plexiglas divider separates the front seats from the new cargo bay, which can accommodate 49.4 cubic feet of items to be delivered. The rear windows are specially coated so the driver can see out, but prying eyes can't determine what cargo is concealed within. Volkswagen envisions this vehicle being especially useful in busy urban environments, pitching the Cargo Up! as the ideal vehicle to deliver pizzas and medicine, or to replace cross-town bicycle messengers.

Peugeot 208 GTi and XY

Currently, we advocate Peugeot 208 GTi and XY For you, This Post is Related With Mini Clubvan . You can use This image for backgrounds on Tablet with Best Quality.

Peugeot 208 GTi and XY
Add these two to the list of fun and sexy hatchbacks we will never get in the States: Peugeot has taken the wraps off two concept versions of its 208 subcompact slated to debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show. It's too bad we won't get them here because we are salivating over the hot-hatch potential of the 208 GTi Concept and desperate to luxuriate in the 208 XY Concept.

 Peugeot 208 GTi and XY

 Peugeot 208 GTi and XY

Peugeot 208 GTi and XY

The GTi takes a more aggressive stance than other 208 three-door models, thanks to a 36 mm wider track and a prominent rear spoiler. The plain black plastic grille has been traded out for a metal checked-flag motif complete with a brushed-aluminum GTi Concept logo, which can also be found adorning the C-pillars - a throwback to the venerable 205 GTi from the 1990s. The 208 GTi Concept also sees the addition of lower body spoilers and sill skirt extensions, four disc brakes with red calipers, and double chrome exhaust tailpipes lined with red paint. Large, five-spoke wheels make the GTi's sporting intentions clear, and either a Union Jack or the French "Le Tricolour" flag adorns the lower air intake below the grille. Front and rear Peugeot badges are colored red, as has all of the interior trim. The steering wheel and seats are both wrapped in black perforate leather with red contrasting stitching, and the dashboard has been swathed in alcantara with grey stitching. Brushed aluminum pedals, shift knob, and gauge backgrounds complete the interior's makeover.

The Peugeot 208 GTi Concept is powered by the same 200-hp, turbocharged 1.6-liter I-4 used in the RCZ coupe. Here, it's mated to a six-speed manual transmission, which directs power to the front wheels. Despite being sized closer to the Ford Fiesta and the Volkswagen Polo, the 208 GTi could give the likes of the 200-hp VW GTI and 181-hp Mini Cooper S a run for their money. An equal amount of power in a lighter, sexier package? Oui, s'il vous plait... Making its debut alongside the 208 GTi Concept is the 208 XY Concept, which suggests the 208 could also serve as a premium, upscale compact hatchback. Decorated inside and out in a unique Crimson paint color, the XY Concept boasts pearl grey leather seats, purple LED accent lighting, chrome trim, and a panoramic moonroof. Outside, the Peugeot 208 XY Concept is decked out with 18-inch alloy wheels, horizontal chrome grille bars, and full LED headlights. Since the XY is more about prestige than power, it uses only a 116-hp form of the 1.6-liter I-4 found in the 208 GTI show car. No production plans for the Peugeot 208 GTi and XY Concepts have been officially announced, but neither concept seems that far removed from reality. Stay tuned for more on these two Geneva show debuts.
